Nifty Garrett Tress remembers that under cover of night her older brother and his friends would abscond with local outhouses and relocate them in public places like Loyalty Park and the high school grounds. The publisher of the Sumner Standard, Corydon Nifty Garrett was proud of his achievements and didn’t care who knew it. He invented a slogan for himself: Nifty did it! Tress’s brother and his partners in crime liked how the slogan looked written out on the sides of the re-sited outhouses.
