Tacoma web design company Artifex Business Identity employee Richard Ryan Anderson threatened rival Tacoma web design company Intra-Designs, Inc. on October 9, after receiving a letter asking them to stop committing copyright infringement, defamation of character, and libel agains Intra-Designs (see article written on September 10 for more information).

"I'm very surprised these people keep this up. They are breaking the law, then have the audacity to threaten us on top of it," said Intra-Designs, Inc. president Ty Belknap. "All we want is for them to stop defaming us, admit what they did, and pay for their indiscretions. When you break the law, eventually, you have to pay."

"Do these peolple really think that illegal activity like this will help them?" asked Ty Belknap. "We gave copies of our letters, their illegal activity, and the voicemail to the police. The Pierce County prosecutor's office is looking at the information to see if there's enough to charge them."

In the mean time, the owners of Artifex were unable to be reached for comment. Phone calls and emails were ignored. It seems to us that they just don't care if they get caught doing illegal activities, but aren't they afraid their clients will?
